This question can best be answered in 2 words. The culture. It is collaborative, hard working, fun, and shows an entrepreneurial spirit that is carried across all of our global offices. We wear multiple hats. We demand success. We don’t micro manage you. We all may have different titles, but our mission is the same – to play a part in creating digital products and experiences for some of the worlds leading brands. Thinking about applying here? Find the paragraph below that best suits your background.
As a Vectorform designer you can expect to be taken through the entire design process. From brainstorming ideas, initial sketches, information architecture, through final pixel perfect visual design, our designers are truly multifaceted. You typically will have one or two of these skill sets when you are hired in at Vectorform. We will help you with the rest. Your design opinion matters – regardless if you are a CD, mid level designer, or intern – you will be heard. While working at Vectorform your portfolio has the potential to include design in mobile, tablet, web, in vehicle, multi touch retail screens, experimental technologies, as well as some of our own products. It truly is a chance to expand your design portfolio and work on one of the industry’s elite design teams.
If you work for Vectorform as a developer, you are consistently evolving with the ever-changing platforms that are being released to market, while maintaining the integrity of older platforms. We tackle almost every major programming language out there: HTML 5, Advanced JavaScript, Objective C, Android, Flash, Flex, Java, C#, .Net are all in our repertoire. Front end, back end, all ends. You will be given the chance to learn new languages, in addition to the ones you already know. This will build the confidence you need to jump from platform to platform seamlessly and obtain skills you otherwise thought were unattainable.
Project Management is probably the most critical position at Vectorform. In this “first point of contact”, client-facing role, you will be responsible for maintaining scope, budget, timelines, expectations, and delivering on time. You thrive under pressure. You have the authority to say “No”, however, you must also remember to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction. You also have great communications skills. Out of all the positions at Vectorform, you probably wear the most hats, which is something you enjoy. You are a cheerleader, a fire fighter, news reporter, and most of all – a true manager.
If you work in Sales at Vectorform, you will be given the opportunity to deliver the best digital experiences and products to your clients. First off, you are a good listener. You identify what your client’s want and make sure their requests are heard. You seek out new clients that can benefit from Vectorform’s expertise, while maintaining the existing book of business you are handed. You are the commander of the room. You shake hands, are on the phone, and are promising clients what we already know – that we are the best, brightest and will simply blow your socks off. Not to mention you make killer commission here.
In HR, you understand what our employees want. You promote our mission while expanding your own candidate base of skilled professionals. You are interviewing, screening, and scouting talent. You make sure their insurance; PTO and other fringe benefits are administered. You ensure success by making sure employee reviews are done, goals are set, and our staff’s careers are managed correctly. You solve problems, and ensure that VF is truly the best place to work.
As an Administrative professional, you are helping. Plain and simple. You help the office run on a daily basis, keep leaders organized, and make sure our clients are taken care of when they visit our facilities. You are the first person that people speak with when calling, which means you are friendly, outgoing, and have the disposition to handle any call that comes in.
In IT at Vectorform, you are the gatekeeper for all the technology that is being used. From PCs, Macs, mobile phones, tablets, and monitors – You manage our entire inventory and help users through a myriad of issues that come with working in emerging technology. Not to mention, you are the first person to be able to play with it. You can handle your own with the most complex IT issues, but aren’t afraid to get down and dirty with running wires and cabling. You serve our employees as your clients, and ensure they are working on the best infrastructure possible.
Vectorform offers year round internship opportunities for all disciplines. You are our next star. You are in school, just graduated school, or are changing careers. You WON’T be getting coffee and donuts. You will be working on real world business issues, and getting the foundation for success. You will likely be hired on as a full time employee if you show that you are driven, passionate, and can develop the attributes that make Vectorform employees successful. 75% of Vectorform Interns are eventually hired on as direct employees.
