Vectorform Works with Amazon as Preferred Resource for Alexa Skill Building
Vectorform is proud to announce we are one of the few companies working closely with Amazon as a preferred resource to enable brands and companies to develop custom skills leveraging the full capability of Alexa.
The concept and execution of smart homes has gained immense traction over the past few years. In fact, Amazon suggests the number of skills in the Alexa Skills Marketplace has increased from about 100 at the beginning of 2016 to more than 7,000 currently, and is only expected to grow.1 Alexa devices such as Amazon Echo, Amazon Tap, and Echo Dot have the ability to control several home products with voice commands. This past holiday, customers purchased a record-setting number of devices from the Amazon Echo family, with Amazon reporting sales up over 9x compared to the 2015 holiday season, with millions of Alexa devices sold worldwide in 2016.2 With the increasing usage and demand for development of customized skills, Vectorform is proud to announce we are one of the few companies working closely with Amazon as a preferred resource to enable brands and companies to develop custom skills leveraging the full capability of Alexa.
“Our clients are creating new models for how we design and build smart homes and IoT connected devices, while along the way, discovering unexpected avenues to connect people with technology. Nothing can replace hands-on experience when it comes to working with disruptive technology. Our team at Vectorform has been working with clients and Amazon to identify the best scenarios and create custom Alexa skills. Prospective clients not only have a level of comfort by knowing that we have the necessary tools and resources, but also an edge on their competition due to our intimate and rich understanding of the challenges associated with creating these skills.” said Kurt Steckling, CEO and Co-Founder, Vectorform.
